VP Kamala Harris sent a clear message when she released her first presidential campaign including Beyoncé’s song “Freedom.”

Harris shared a video on Thursday

“In this election, we each face a question: ‘What kind of country do we want to live in?’ There are some people who think we should be a country of chaos, of fear, of hate. But us, we choose something different. We choose freedom.”

Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, endorsed VP Kamala Harris for president recently amidst many others.

Barack and Michelle Obama are the most recent amongst the Harris endorsements. See news coverage of the Obama endorsement below.

President Biden handed Kamala Harris the baton as he stepped out of the presidential rac on Sunday. Harris appears to be the leading candidate weeks before the Democratic National Convention on August 19.

“Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” the president told Harris on the phone as heard in the clip.

Regarding Beyoncé’s “Freedom,” Harris walked out to the song at her first visit to her campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, on Monday. It played the next day at her first campaign rally in Wisconsin.

Kamala Harris is certainly a Beyoncé fan as she and her husband, Doug Emhoff, went to the singer’s Renaissance World Tour concert in Maryland last August. Beyoncé also has a history of supporting Democratic candidates. She sang the National Anthem at President Barack Obama's 2013 inauguration, She performed at a concert for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign alongside her husband, Jay-Z. Beyoncé also endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020.

Beyoncé has not officially endorsed any candidate in this year's race, but she did give the Harris campaign permission to use the song through the next few months of the election, CNN reported.
