Tink ‘Heat Of The Moment’ Review
The Winter’s Diary songstress Tink returns with a passion-led project Heat Of The Moment. Produced by Hitmaka and featuring Yung Bleu, Jeremih, Davido, and Kodak Black, listen to Tink divulge in the deep passion found in ‘the heat of the moment,” as she recalls her disappointment in love as well as the riveting cravings for another. The fourteen-track project touches on the harsh realities in transitioning through friendships, battling raging thoughts of inadequacy, and attempts to rebuild trust in fleeting romantic settings. Tink braves her way through the project as she mixes high-tempo tracks with slow ballads, revealing her skeptical and slightly sinister thoughts surrounding love.
The project opens up with the titled track, “Heat of the moment.” Tink gets vulnerable as she quickly addresses the indecision and lack of faith that surrounds her. Feeling misunderstood, Tink wants to share herself without the backlash of judgment from those watching. “Selfish” ends with a pain-stricken bar heavy verse on being played emotionally.
The punchy instrumental produced for “Chasin” sets the mood of grounded fortitude in oneself. Tink is determined not to run behind an indecisive lover but casually entertains links with a side piece if necessary. Songs like “Rebel,” “Regret,” and “Might Let You” transition into each other well as the instrumental flow of the project taps into an uplifting tempo range.
Still keeping the vulnerability on a large scale, this singer continues to flex as she angelically rhymes her hopes and aspirations. Sampling Tyrese’s “Act Like That” “Dangerous” expresses deep hurt and misused love. “FMB” —-a sexy number that is perfect for a lusty playlist. Tink is ready to surprise and serve. Switching lanes, “Signs” and “Whole World Against Me” share the pressure to be at the top with spectators watching closely and the feeling of alienating relationships. “Have You Ever,” Mixed Feelings,” and “Prove It” tap into the mind restless inquisition and attempts to establish security and comfortability. Ending the project with a ballad “On My Own, Tink uses the music to request freedom from love by half-truths she can use to propel herself into the next phase of her life. Heat Of The Moment is a blend of noteworthy highs and lows of love, all while causing hidden emotions to run to the surface.
