Dallas-based singer-songwriter Asia Kyree returns with the release of her latest project, Bad Guy EP. After a short musical hiatus, Asia returns with a new sound dipped in transparency, acceptance, growth, and self-acknowledgment. In this 9-track-project, listeners can experience Asia in a new light. This EP features production from talents like Denise De’ion, Hrtbrkjnz, Timothy Dedmon, William A Barnes III, Cizzurp215, Darren Gooden, Midi Monstaz, Smart Boy Beatz, Trez Bell, and LawlessProd. This EP serves as a testimony to Asia's musical growth.

Starting the project with a soulfully, gritty sound that defuses the myth and illusion placed upon her character, Asia breaks free with every lyric.

“Deep End” is sonic proof of Asia’s somberly powerful messaging, paired with cryptic tones that mimic a traditionally chopped and screwed cadence.  (Watch the video below. )

“Overdosed” allows this singer to recognize her power as she struggles to maintain freedom. Indulging in vices to numb her discomfort, this song bridges guitar strings with a somber tone to magnify the tune.

“Wait” begs for exclusive patience, but Bad Guy AK rejects the concept of being placed on “pause” for the sake of another.  “Aint Here” is proof of her truth serum. Asia is clear about her feelings.

“Heard you looking for love. Baby, I’m not the one.”

She continues to debunk illusions of expectations and is dedicated to doing what is best for her in any given moment.

This theme is prevalent in her music. Asia's definition of the bad guy brings her feelings and expressions to the forefront. Her display is less about offending and more about profound clarity. “Callin,” an upbeat tune that explicitly shares her disdain to be contacted endlessly. As the EP makes its way towards the finish line, Asia delivers intimate songs like “Signs,” and “You” to leave the fans yearning for more. Her symphonious work incites beauty, passion, and transformation.

This musical story highlights the ups and downs of love and embraces reality. Washing off the paint of the villain, Asia allows herself to be seen as is; a complex individual who seeks authenticity in all aspects of life. Listen to her liberation.
